The lightest option is help on the day. The driver wraps and boxes within your booked loading time. No separate cost, nothing to arrange in advance. The heavier option is a full property packing service. A packer comes in before move day with all the materials and boxes up the whole property. That needs to be requested at least five working days before the move and is quoted separately. If you want to self-pack but don’t have the materials, boxes and bubble wrap can be delivered ahead of the move date instead.

    Most bookings on the platform are self-pack — boxes, bags and loose items are ready to load when the driver arrives. Light packing on the day covers the bits that didn't get sorted in advance: wrapping a few fragile items, boxing the last drawer-load of kitchen things, securing a TV with blankets, taping up a final box.

    This sits inside the loading time you already booked. If you booked 60 minutes of loading and the wrapping takes 10 minutes, the loading itself takes 50 — total still 60. The same hourly rate applies whether the driver is wrapping or carrying. Blankets, straps and basic securing gear are part of every booking, so the wrapping has the materials it needs. For movers who want the wrapping done before the day starts, the full packing service is the better fit.

    Full property packing is a separate service from the move itself. A packer comes in before move day with everything needed and goes room by room through the property. Once done, the place is boxed up and ready. Loading day runs faster because the driver walks in to labelled boxes rather than loose items.

    Timing depends on the size of the property. A 1-bed flat takes roughly half a day. Two-bed houses tend to fill a full day. Larger properties need more time. Request at least five working days before the move through the booking notes or a direct message to the team. Quoted separately from the move itself.

    Standard sizes come as a kit: small, medium, large and wardrobe boxes with bubble wrap and tape. Dish packs for crockery and picture boxes for framed art can be added. Order a week ahead and everything arrives before you need to start.

    What packing options do you offer?

    How much does professional packing cost?

    It depends on how much there is to pack. A 1-bed flat comes to a few hundred pounds. A larger property is more. Send a message to the team with your booking reference and they will confirm a separate packing quote.

    Do you supply packing materials?

    Yes, requested in advance. Materials aren't carried in the van by default, so flag the request when you book or send the team a direct message.

    Can you just pack the fragile items?

    Yes. Partial packing is a regular request. Tell the team which room or category you want covered and they will quote it.

    How long does it take to pack a house?

    A studio or 1-bed flat is roughly half a day. Bigger than that and you are looking at a full day or more. Pack the day before the move if you can.

    Do you unpack at the other end?

    Unpacking can be added on request. Less common than full packing, but useful if you want to arrive at the new place and start living rather than working through boxes. Flag it when you book.

    How does payment work?

    For the move itself, 20% deposit secures the booking and the balance is settled on the day. The packing service is quoted separately and confirmed before the booking goes live.

    The full property packing service runs through the major UK cities. London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow all have packer coverage. In London that reaches the inner boroughs and the M25 commuter belt, with Salford and Stockport covered from Manchester. From there, coverage extends across the South East, South West, Midlands, Yorkshire and the North West.

    Materials delivery runs UK-wide. Standard boxes in small, medium, large and wardrobe sizes are stocked across all regions. Specialist packaging like dish packs, picture boxes, wine cartons and mattress bags is available on request with a few extra days’ notice. Smaller cities including Reading, Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton, Southampton, Cardiff, Newcastle, Sheffield, Nottingham and Leicester are all covered for delivery.

    The packing service covers all property types. Studios needing a half-day pack, 3-bed family homes needing two days, listed buildings with fragile collections needing specialist wrapping.
