A van that spent most days parked up
Dominic had a Transit Custom he'd bought for another business. Most days, it sat parked up.
So he put it to work. He started doing man and van jobs for some extra income, and local adverts worked fast. Facebook Marketplace kept him busy with sofa pickups and small local moves.

Customers were left waiting for a price
The work kept coming, and every enquiry needed its own quote, worked out by hand and sent one message at a time. If Dominic was halfway through a move, the next customer could be waiting hours just to find out the price. If you've ever asked a man and van for a quote, you'll know the feeling.
So Dominic built an instant quote calculator on his website. Customers entered their postcodes, saw a price straight away and booked. No waiting for a reply, no back and forth.
It made moving easier for his customers, and it gave Dominic his time back to do what he does best: the moving.
Then Carl came along
Carl first worked alongside Dominic on a couple of jobs. He came from a sales & marketing background, and he had been spending his time learning automation, AI and new technology.
Carl saw what the calculator was doing for Dominic and his customers, and he saw the potential. Plenty of good drivers were still quoting by hand, and their customers were still waiting.
It got them both asking the same thing.

On a lot of platforms, drivers pay just to reply to a job, or bid against each other for it. We wanted something fairer. Drivers set their own hourly rate, can change it any time and are paid on the day. We set a minimum, so nobody is pushed to work for less.
