Dufton sits to the south of Penrith, a picturesque village beneath the western slopes of the Pennines, popular with walkers tackling the Pennine Way. The area features traditional stone-built cottages arranged around a large village green, with period properties and farmhouses in the surrounding lanes.
Whether you need help moving from a cottage on the green or relocating from a rural property nearby, local man and van drivers can assist with moves of all sizes. From single items of furniture to complete house clearances, finding the right van and driver is straightforward.
Many residents moving within or from Dufton connect with areas across the Eden Valley. Moves frequently link with Appleby-in-Westmorland along the valley, Temple Sowerby towards Penrith, Clifton near the motorway, Eamont Bridge at the river crossing, and Yanwath in the central valley. Routes along the lane to Appleby and through Knock are familiar to local drivers, while the narrow roads beneath High Cup Nick and across to Long Marton all feature in moves from this scenic Pennine-edge village.
Drivers covering Dufton regularly handle longer journeys across Cumbria, connecting with Kendal, Alston, and towns throughout the North.
