Man with a Van & House Removals

Thurgoland sits on the south-western edge of Barnsley borough, where the village occupies elevated ground with views toward Sheffield and the surrounding hills. Stone-built cottages and period properties characterise the older village, with some newer developments on the approaches.

Moves in Thurgoland often involve older properties with traditional features on hillside streets. Families seeking countryside living within commuting distance of Barnsley and Sheffield, those attracted by rural views, and buyers looking for character homes all contribute to local moving activity.

Thurgoland connects to Penistone and Silkstone, with families moving between these western villages. Routes toward Worsbrough and Hoyland provide connections to the main Barnsley areas, while country lanes link to surrounding hamlets. Properties in the village centre and those with views toward the Don Valley see moves from Dodworth and Oxspring, with Tankersley nearby toward Sheffield.

We support moves throughout the rural western Barnsley area. Here are some other areas we operate in around Barnsley.
