Our customer's collection of eight armchairs, dining chairs, stools and a few extras made the short trip from Clifton into Kingsdown. Dominic loaded everything into the Luton van in two hours, then drove the tight route through Bristol to Ashley in about half an hour. The tail lift made quick work of the heavier pieces, and by early afternoon it was all delivered and unloaded into the new place.
Local drivers across every neighbourhood
Kingsdown sits just above the centre of Bristol, a hillside neighbourhood known for its Georgian and Victorian architecture with panoramic views across the city. The area features elegant townhouses, period terraces, and some newer infill developments. Professionals and families choose Kingsdown for its character properties, central location, and proximity to the BRI hospital.
Whether you’re moving into a Georgian townhouse on Kingsdown Parade or relocating from a Victorian flat to somewhere larger, our drivers handle moves of all sizes. Kingsdown’s steep streets and period properties present access challenges, from narrow staircases to permit parking zones. Experienced drivers understand how to manage these situations efficiently.
Residents moving from Kingsdown often look to nearby areas offering similar character or more space. The neighbouring area of Cotham attracts those seeking comparable period properties with excellent shops along Gloucester Road. Moves to Redland are popular for families wanting larger Victorian houses with gardens and good schools nearby. For those preferring to stay central, Clifton provides Georgian elegance with village atmosphere. The vibrant neighbourhood of Bishopston draws moves from Kingsdown residents wanting more suburban living while retaining period character. Some move to Easton for its creative community and more affordable Victorian terraces. Kingsdown’s central position near St Michael’s Hill and the BRI makes it convenient for healthcare workers. Properties along Kingsdown Parade, Somerset Street, and around the parade gardens see regular turnover. The area’s steep topography means moves often require careful planning, particularly for larger furniture. Permit parking restrictions require advance planning for loading.
Our drivers cover the whole of Bristol and surrounding areas, from the city centre to the suburbs and beyond. Whether your move stays local or extends further afield, we’re ready to help. Here are some other areas we operate in around Bristol.
