Man with a Van, Removals & Clearance

Monkton Combe sits in a steep valley south of Bath, forming an attractive village with strong traditional character around the school and mill. The settlement features period cottages, converted mill buildings, and larger country properties along the narrow lanes through the valley. Residents appreciate the peaceful setting and proximity to Limpley Stoke valley.

Whether you’re moving into a cottage in the village centre or relocating from a property on the surrounding lanes, a man and van provides a practical option for moves in this rural setting. Drivers experienced with valley locations handle steep approaches and narrow lanes efficiently.

Monkton Combe residents moving within the area often consider nearby locations including Combe Down, Widcombe, Bear Flat, Odd Down, and Bathwick. The village clusters around the mill and Monkton Combe School, with properties extending along the lane toward Midford and the canal. The Kennet and Avon Canal provides an attractive feature, and homes overlooking the valley command scenic positions. Drivers familiar with the area understand the steep gradients and single-track sections, and where passing places allow larger vehicles through. Moves from period cottages may require careful parking coordination, while properties on larger plots offer driveways. The lanes toward Combe Down and Midford connect to the wider area, and drivers who know the routes navigate efficiently despite the challenging terrain. Whether moving from a cottage near the school or a property along the valley lane, working with a driver who understands the locality helps moves proceed smoothly.
