TVMC Driver app privacy policy

This policy covers the TVMC Driver app, published by The Van Man Co Ltd. It applies to drivers who use the app. Our main privacy policy covers customers who book with us.
What the app collects
- Your name, email address and phone number, taken from your driver account with us.
- Your location while you are using the app, to show routes and open directions. We do not track your location in the background.
- Photos you choose to add: job photos on the tracker, and insurance certificates.
- A device token, so we can send you notifications about job offers and your jobs.
- Crash reports, if the app stops working, so we can fix it.
What we use it for
Offering you jobs, running the job tracker, letting you message a customer about a job, showing your rates and earnings, keeping your insurance on file, and keeping the app working. Nothing else.
Who sees it
Customers see your first name, and once a job is confirmed, your phone number. Your insurance certificates are seen by The Van Man Co only. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it for tracking.
Where it is kept
On servers in the UK and EU provided by Supabase, and in our own booking systems. Photos and certificates are stored privately and are reachable only by you and by The Van Man Co.
How long we keep it
Your driver profile and job history are kept as business records for as long as you work with us, and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep them for tax and legal purposes. Crash reports are kept for 30 days.
Deleting your account
In the app, open You and tap Delete app account. This removes your app login and stops all notifications.
Your driver profile and completed job history stay with The Van Man Co as business records. To leave the platform altogether, contact us and we will remove you from all assignment lists.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
