Welcome to The Van Man Co. By booking our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a smooth, safe, and reliable experience for both our team and our customers.
Bookings
Bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from us.
Please provide accurate details when booking, including addresses, access information, and a list of items to be moved.
If your booking details change, contact us as soon as possible so we can make adjustments.
Cancellations
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will not incur a charge.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled time may be charged at 50% of the estimated cost.
If we arrive at the pickup location and are unable to complete the job due to incorrect information or lack of access, a call-out fee may apply.
Payments
Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash on completion of the job.
Final costs are based on actual time taken, including loading, travel, and unloading.
Packing & Handling Responsibilities
We take care to transport your items safely, but certain responsibilities lie with you as the customer:
Smaller or loose items must be securely packed away in suitable boxes or containers before the move.
Fragile or delicate items should be wrapped securely or boxed with protective padding to prevent damage during transit.
We provide removals blankets and will ensure larger, bulky items are wrapped and strapped inside the van for safe transport.
While every care is taken, The Van Man Co. cannot accept responsibility for damage to items that have been packed inappropriately or left unprotected.
Please let us know in advance if you have high-value, fragile, or unusual items so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Customer Responsibilities
Items should be packed and ready for transport at the agreed start time.
Ensure safe and clear access for our team at both pickup and drop-off points.
If you wish to travel with us, two passenger seats are available — please let us know in advance.
Insurance & Liability
Our services are fully insured for peace of mind:
Public Liability Insurance protects against damages or accidents during the move.
Goods in Transit Insurance covers your belongings from pickup to delivery.
While we take every precaution to keep your belongings safe, we are not liable for:
Items not securely packed or protected by the customer.
Pre-existing damage to furniture or goods.
Delicate items not disclosed to us in advance.
Delays
While we aim to be punctual, factors such as traffic, weather, or unforeseen events may occasionally cause delays. We will always communicate promptly if this occurs.
